Their farms benefit from natural resources like water from the mighty Columbia River, mineral-rich soil from the Mount St. Helen’s eruption, and some of the best direct sun in the state. Anyone who has visited the Gorge Amphitheater immediately realizes it is a place where the earth, the water, and the sun join forces to create a magical experience. Gorge Gold cannabis plants enjoy that same magical experience. The Ancient Lakes of the Columbia Valley AVA is an American Viticulture Area that lies on the western edge of the Columbia Basin near the town of Quincy. The Ancient Lakes bio-climate is protected from wet weather systems by both the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges, creating a warm, dry environment perfect for cannabis. Our soil is rich with volcanic ash from the Mt. St. Helen’s eruption providing phosphorus that helps build strong root systems for each plant. The Missoula Floods were glacial floods from the last ice age that formed the Columbia Gorge and the water system used for all the crops grown in this area. Cannabis plants consume sun and Central Washington provides intense full-spectrum rays every day from June through October. Harvesting their plants in late October allows them to fully mature and produce a flower that is rich in terpenes and cannabinoids. We take the best of our flower and use it for buds and pre-rolls. The rest of our flower gets sent off to the best extractors in the state, including Skagit Organics, to be processed into concentrates. Their sun-grown cannabis makes great RSO because of all the wonder natural inputs that thier plants enjoy.
