Concentrates are made by running a solvent over cannabis flower and trim to extract the cannabinoids in the plant, such as THC, CBD, and CBG among others. Common solvents include butane, propane, liquid CO2, and Food-Grade Alcohol. We use food-grade alcohol exclusively, because of the unique properties not found in other solvents. These unique properties allow for the creation of an oil containing beneficial plant constituents other oils just don’t have. CO2 and hydrocarbons such as butane or propane can create very potent and flavorful concentrates, but these solvents leave behind many beneficial components of the plant. Similar to a vitamin supplement these oils have a high concentration of cannabinoids but lack the full spectrum of the whole plant.
